Omega is the Olympic Games Official Timekeeper

OMEGA is a prestigious Swiss watchmaker and member of the Swatch Group Ltd. Since 1848, the brand has been synonymous with excellence, innovation and precision, as well as a pioneering spirit, demonstrated by conquests of the oceans and space. In fact, since 1965, the OMEGA Speedmaster has been worn on each of NASA's manned missions including all six moon landings.

As well as this, no brand is more actively involved in sports timekeeping. Since 1932, OMEGA has served as the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games on 28 occasions. This role has not only involved the precise timing of many different sports and disciplines, but also the consistent development and evolution of the vital equipment that today’s athletes rely on. The Olympic role also extends to the Youth Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. Thanks to this renowned experience, OMEGA has widened its timekeeping duties and partnerships into many other sporting realms, such as America’s Cup sailing, the Volvo Ocean Race, Diamond League athletics, FINA swimming, bobsleigh and golf – including the annual PGA Championship major.

Well-known OMEGA ambassadors include sportspeople such as Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia, Tommy Fleetwood, Michelle Wie, Michael Phelps and Chad le Clos, as well as many other famous names including George Clooney, Nicole Kidman, Cindy Crawford, Eddie Redmayne, Daniel Craig, Kaia Gerber, Presley Gerber, Buzz Aldrin and more.

Most importantly, OMEGA has a tradition of excellence in watchmaking. This reputation was reinforced in 2015 with the introduction of METAS-approved Master Chronometer certification, representing the Swiss industry’s highest standard of precision, magnetic resistance and performance.

OMEGA became a Worldwide Olympic Partner by joining the TOP Programme in 2004. The company's Worldwide Olympic Partnership extends through the 2032 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
